Hematology/Oncology Physician | Santa Cruz, California | Leadership Opportunity, $850K+ Potential
An established cancer center in Santa Cruz is expanding its Hematology/Oncology team and seeking a physician ready to make an impact. The role suits an experienced oncologist interested in leadership and program development or an early-career physician building a thriving practice, with strong infrastructure, experienced APP support, and an established patient population.
The Practice
- Recruiting two Hematology/Oncology physicians, including a Medical Director
- 18-chair infusion center across from the clinic
- 2-3 APPs, nurse triage, and dedicated oncology staff
- About 90% of patients retained despite recent physician departures
- About 18 patients per day, leaving time to build patient relationships
The Schedule
- Outpatient-focused, with inpatient rounding responsibilities
- No traditional hospital call; phone-only call supported by nurse triage
- Opportunity to shape the call structure as the team grows
Compensation & Benefits
- Generous base salary, with an increase for the Medical Directorship
- Up to $50K annual quality incentive and earning potential of $800K-$850K+
- $50K sign-on bonus and $25K retention bonus beginning in Year 3
